We really enjoyed our trip to Prague and our stay at the hotel although like a previos guest we would have prefered to stay on a higher floor as the guests above us were very noisy and not much of a view ,great location though and very clean .We would stay there again

We went to Prague for my husbands 50th Birthdayand stayed at hotel Appia. We found the staff very friendly and polite. The room was really nice, we had a ground floor room. The breakfast room had old beams and a lot of character. The breakfast itself was very nice. We had a lovely time in Prague. We would recommend Hotel Appia for a really nice place to stay with a great location close to lot of attractions.

We stayed at the Appia 6th to 9th December and would recommend to anyone. The appartment was very spacious and clean. A good breakfast is provided and the staff are all very helpful. Excellent quiet location after a busy day exploring Prague. We would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Appia is good place, nice folks, and good rooms, with tea and coffee making in room - a very British requirement! Interesting loft restauant location with very old exposed wooden beams, and a good place to have the most acceptable continental breakfast Nice and quiet location, but if you are infirm then walk back up the hill from the Tram stop might be a little difficult. However, we are happy to recommend the Appia, and thank the staff there who looked after us so nicely.

This is the second time we have stayed in the Appia, and have enjoyed both occasions, I must admit on this occasion however I was dissapointed by the room which was in the lower part of the building and shared a door with the Sauna. Next time I book and there will be next time I will request a higher floor.

I stayed in at Appia with 4 girlfriends for a 30th birthday weekend and it was such a gorgeous place to stay. we had the large appartment (3 rooms - slept 5) which was very spacious, with a lovely bathroom - all immaculatly clean, lovely furnishings, nice views from the windows and very comfy beds/bedding. The hotel itself is very simple and beautiful - it's obivously an old building which has been restored with lots of care and attention. Service was attentive, but discreet. The breakfast was tasty and a great way to start the day, and was served in the lovely dining room (with it's large wooden beams). In terms of location, Appia is in the quieter (more beautiful) part of town just under Prague castle...seculded and hidden away but only a 10min walk down to the Charles bridge. I highly recommend staying here!

Seven of us (all retired) have just spent an enjoyable 'girls' weekend' in Prague. The Appia lived up to expectations and we had no complaints. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and warm and we enjoyed the lovely breakfast in interesting surroundings. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. It was not far from Charles Bridge and there were good restaurants near the hotel. It was good to get away from the bussle of the busy city centreafter a day's sightseeing. We would reccommend the hotel to others.

The Appia was a wonderful hotel! It met our exacting standards perfectly and bore out the positive comments made by prior clients. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English; breakfasts were delicious, plentiful, varied, and carefully tended in the beautiful upstairs dining area; the beds, pillows and linens were excellent; bathroom absolutely superb; perfectly situated, in a completely quiet and tranquil location, yet with Nerudova Street and Square, lots of good restaurants and shops, the Bridge, and castle mere minutes away by foot; and clean, clean, clean! Just the perfect European hotel, one in which we would gladly stay in any city! We also found the 'chauffeur' service responsive and excellent. We look forward to returning.

We spent four great days in Prague accompanied by two of our teenage daughters, to celebrate my fiftieth birthday. The city is beautiful and so easy to explore on foot. The hotel was great (it had been recommended by the friend of a friend). We had the top floor apartment next to the vaulted breakfast room. The view from the window was wonderful and the apartment was spacious, clean and well furnished. The location was very convenient, only ten minutes walk from the Charles Bridge and the Castle but in a quiet secluded area. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

We stayed at the Appia from 23 Oct to 26 Oct. What a lovely hotel. We arrived 4 hours before check in and getting access to the room was no issue. Staff were lovely, rooms were great, nice beds, flat screen TV's and best of all a quiet location only minutes from Charles Bridge. Would highly recommend.

We couldn't have found a better place to stay in Prague. The hotel was spotless, excellent breakfast and very comfortable beds, we only wished our stay had been longer. The staff were very friendly. The Appia's position was extremely convenient to all the sights in Prague (we walked everywhere!) and yet the area was so quiet and peaceful. Definitely would stay here again. Thankyou

We had a lovely stay at the Appia. Our room, which was on the top floor, was fantastic! Everywhere was spotless, the breakfast was delicious and the staff always helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect adn I would not hesitate to stay there again.

The acomodation was very good, confortable and kindly personal. I went with my baby and the provided me a cot and it is a good option becasuse there is a little kitchen to prepair my bay food. I LOVED IT

Hotel Appia surely cannot be bettered in prague. As long as you do not want a thriving bar in your hotel- and why would you when there are so many- this is a perfect hotel. Rooms are superb. We booked from Nov 19th to 21st of November - then Appia Hotel si beautifull, so full of fabulous original details from when it was first built. The food was amazing which was served up the the roof restaurant and I have never been treated so well by tier friendly and kind staff. There was 10 of us, other than me no-one had been there before and will all be back to Prague early next year and stay in this wonderfull hotel. Pure heaven

Appia was the best hotel we stayed in during our 5 weeks in Europe. The friendly staff was helpful and answered all our questions. Breakfast was great in that old upstairs room. Neighborhood was quiet and we were just a few munites walk from downtown and the castle. We laughed about how lucky we were for our first hotel in Europe to be the best!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Appia, our appartment was very well equipped and very modern whilst the building retained the Bohemian charm that is Prague. The Appia is decorated and furnished to a high standard. The staff are friendly and helpful, a similar hotel in the UK would cost twice the amount we paid to stay here. The location is excellent, conveniently tucked in a quiet picturesque location close to the castle and a 10 minute walk from the Charles bridge. We were so impressed we plan to return soon.

The accommodation was first class, and the location could not be better, close enough to walk everywhere but far enough away from the noise and bustle. The breakast menu is plentiful and top quality. We couldnt have wished for a better hotel. We hope to return to the Appia very soon.

We booked this hotel at a special rate and could not have been more pleased with its quality and location. For anyone contemplating a break in Prague, this is the best area to stay. It has lots of interest, a good choice of places to eat and drink and the short walk to Charles Bridge and the main city centre we see as a positive advantage. Only consider somewhere else if walking is a problem.

Stayed in the penthouse apartment, which was wonderful and very spacious for 4 adults. Hotel was in an ideal location both for Castle and the City.Will definitely return.

This hotel made our stay in Prague really special. Everything was to the highest standard, room, food, and staff. In a lovely quiet part of town, within easy reach of both the old town square and the castle, would definately recommend to others and use again ourselves.

Hotel in the best part of Town - romantic, quiet and surrounded by excellent restaurants. Breakfast good and taking it in the garden is a superb start to the day. Of course, Prague is pretty darn wonderful too!!

Hotel was excellent. The room very spacious overlooking terrace where a very good breakfast was served. Staff were very helpful, friendly & attentive. The hotel is located in a quiet area close to the castle, palace and Prague's 'Eiffel Tower'. It is an easy walk down to the Charles Bridge and across to the Old Square. The walk back is uphill but it is a gentle slope and no problem. We used public transport to/from airport. The 119 bus from the airport takes you to the Underground. Two stops to Malastranska and then a tram to St Nicholas church all on one 20CZK ticket, then a short walk up past the US & German embassies.We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel Appia is, without hesitation , one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in.The rooms were beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, and the bed supremely comfortable.The dining room was superbly set out, and the breakfasts were amazing - Everything lived up to the comments that helped us in the decision to stay at The Appia!! We took another clients advice, and booked our taxi on line via prague street for the transfer to and from the airport - a very wise decision! It was absolutely no hassle, and meant we were delivered to the right place with no stress! I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel and their staff, everything just unfolded like clockwork. The garden was a joy to sit in, and the drinks were good too!!! All in all, a place that we would, and will certainly visit again... soon I hope!!

Sehr schönes Hotel mit optimaler Lage: man ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten sowohl bei der Karlsbrücke als auch auf der Burg. Die Zimmer und Apartments sind sehr schön und geräumig, die Badezimmer gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Handtücher werden täglich gewechselt, was auch nicht mehr in jedem Hotel üblich ist. Einziges Manko: das Frühstück! Im Sommer und bei schönem Wetter sind die Räumlichkeiten ideal, man frühstückt unter großen Sonnenschirmen im Freien. Bei etwas kühleren Temperaturen oder gar Regen sollte man auf den Frühstücksraum ausweichen können, dieser bietet aber nur Platz für ca. 15 Personen. Eine überdachte oder verglaste Terrasse und das Anbringen von Heizstrahlern würden helfen. Das Frühstücksangebot ist okay, allerdings waren die warmen Speisen (baked beans, Bacon, Würstchen, Rühr- und Spiegelei im Wechsel) schon um 8.30 Uhr nur noch lauwarm, eher kühl. Das hat dem positiven Gesamteindruck aber keinen Abbruch getan, das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen!

The accommodation was fantastic, personel was very friendly and helpful nad...very childfriendly. We enjoyed very much the very beautiful apartment with superb view on hoistorical biulding. The rooms were very tidy and well decorated, the barhrooms very spacious and of high quality material (marble, large bathtub, hairdryer of swiss quality, nice smelling soaps,....) Breakfast was very nice and there was a huge variety. Coffee was delicious, the bread very fresh and everyday there was a different type of eggpreparation. I do recommend the hotel to everyone who enjoys calme settings, nice architecture, and a familytype of atmosphere.

The Appia was fantastic I would recommend this hotel to anyone, we booked on the special rate and was given a fabulous apartment with roof terrace at no extra cost, the breakfast was good and could be taken on the terrace, its in a great location, no hesitation in booking it at all! especially through this web site which is fantastic value and service - thanks!!!

Hotel Appia - The hotel was exactly as described. Although the hotel is small we found it to be eceptionally clean and tidy, our room was large, with a fully marbled en-suite, we had a ground floor room with a nice outside terrace to relax. The location was great 5mins to the castle & St Nicholas Church, no more than 10 mins to Charles bridge the old town square is just over the river, we walked everywhere and found it no problem at all. Didn't find it too hilly at all, anyway ther were lots of local bars and restaurants close by. The staff were eceptionally polite, helpfull and nothing was too much trouble for them. The only negative point is that there was no residents lounge but after being out all day it was no big deal. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a homely, clean, very comfortable hotel. We would recommend booking a taxi transfer before you go. It was great.
