Very close to the center which is great. Parking availble cc. 2-2.5 km away, which was not very conveniente. The scrambled eggs were always missing from breakfast. They always prepared less than needed. Could not even bring more when we requested..

Great location (close to Prague Castle), this hotel is good for what you paid for. We stayed in a budget room and the room was huge. The breakfast is plentiful too.

This was an extremely basic hotel. It was in a good location however. Honestly though, for the price we paid we were expecting a bit more quality, less mold in the show and more amenities like a functioning tv for example. What is it with these cheaper hotels that can't get basic cable tv working?

We stayed at the Aureus Clavis Hotel for 3 nights at the end of May. We had an economy room which was very basic but large and clean. Clean towels were provided every day. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was at the top of the building so several flights of stairs had to be climbed. Our cases were carried up for us. Breakfast had plenty of variety for our tastes. The location in Lesser Town is quieter than the Old Town which suited us. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.

We stayed at the Aureus Clavis Hotel where we found the staff very warm and friendly especially Yanna who is very funny and talkative,, we hope to come back again highly recommended,

Maybe I'm a little fussy, but I didn't find the staff very friendly and I wasn't sure i was even in the right place when i arrived, the reception was tucked away in the back. The cleanliness was excellent, but they could do with keeping an eye on the maintenance of the hotel. Over all I would recomend this hotel, but don't expect it to be amazing, you get what you pay for.

my friend and i stay in Aureus Clavis hotel for 2nights. we are very satisfied with our rooms. it was spacious and clean. nice and simple overall. the staffs were all very friendly towards us and they even allowed us to check-in early.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was big ,clean and warm. the only thing i could ask was to have ,tea and coffee facilities in the rooms and maybe a bit more choice for breakfast,apart from thet we had a lovely stay. thankyou

We truly enjoyed our stay at Aureus Clavis 28-30/9. Economy room was superclean and spaciuos and the location was perfect. You need to know that there is no elevator in the building and the economy room we stayed in is on the 3rd floor. No problem for us at all, but good to think about when booking. We loved the place and would recomend it to anyone who looks for a good place to stay in Prague.

Just got back from Prague last weekend (26 to 28 Sep 08) Had a fantastic time, this hotel was perfect for our needs in both location, and comfort. The rooms were clean & spacious, the en-suites were clean & comfortable. Breakfast was very good (continental) and we liked the timings (up to 11 o'clock.) It is located in the Lesser town, only a short walk from the Charles bridge, and minutes from Prague castle. This suited us better as it was quieter on a night away from the busier Old town side, but within easy striking distance. Would definitely stop here again, good rates, good location, good service.

Stayed in Aureus Clavis last weekend. The room was beyond our expectation; comfortable beds, hot shower and cosy rooms. The location is great, nextdoor to the Prague Castel and a good startingpoint for other city attractions. This hotel made our stay in Praque very pleasant!

We stayed at the Aureus Clavis hotel recently. The hotel is in a great location. Many of the cities attractions were within easy walking distance. It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our accommodation was to the front and we did find the street a little noisy. However, I would still recommend it.

Aureus Clavis hotel is very near to St. Nicholas Church, Charles Bridge and Major Tram Lines. It is also very near to the shrine of Infant Jesus. The hotel is very conveniently located, neat and clean with very courteous staff and is for sure great value for money.

Nice hotel, very well situated in the heart of the city. We had a economy room that was basic, clean and VERY large. Certainly great to recommend!

We stayed in a standard room. It was beautiful, very spacious, on the street side but we weren't bothered by the noise. The hotel is in an excellent location - handy to all the sights, but away from the crazy tourist bustle of the Old Town. Much more character than a regular chain hotel, and a much better value. We thought the breakfast was just fine, and very similar to what we encountered all over Europe. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, clean, comfortable room with character at a great price!

The hotel is nice. But the lady manager (unfortunately I did not ask her name. But she is a pretty lady) was really nice and helpful to make my visit to Prague better. I did not know anything when I arrived. She explained many things patiently and gave me many options to pick.

15.06.08 Nice hotel. Room basic but clean. Had a room on the third floor so not too many stairs to climb which was great as the hotel itself is up a fairly steep hill! Breakfast served from 9am-11am which suited us but was again quite simple. Staff v friendly.

Just back from Prague, the Aureus Clavis is a great place to stay. We had an economy room and it was very good value....location was very good and the breakfast is great. Very helpful staff.

Aureus Clavis Hotel is wonderfully located, many of the special sites of Prague are in walking distance; trams nearby. But breakfast was not served until 9 am--so visitors who like to get an early start may be at a disadvantage.

We stayed in Aureus Clavis from 7-10 May and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located beautifully, near the castle. The street is steep, be prepared to climb a bit, but it is worth it. Cosy, not too fancy, but clean and friendly staff. We had a room on the 5th floor, just below the attic. Not noisy because it wasn't on the street side. breakfast is plain, but sufficient, because there are a lot of other places in the neighbourhood to sit, eat and drink for not too much money. Prague is definitely worth a visit, and I would recommend this hotel!

Aureus Clavis Hotel was very nice in a perfect location. Clean, large room, clean bathroom, good breakfast. You have to be fit to climb the 4 flights of stairs. The staff is very helpful. An economy room is a basic room with no frills. Great if you're out all day and just need a place to sleep.

5.05.2008 - four of us stayed for four nights at the end of April. We were in economy rooms - one in the attic and on the floor below. The attic room was fine but the other room was rather noisy and sparcely furnished (only one chair). Breakfast excellent with good choice and the location was brilliant. The staff could not have been more helpful.

The hotel is quirky which I loved, much better than the sameness of hotel chains. Staff were very friendly and our room was huge with a three seater sofa, chairs and kingsize bed. Loved the hotel and its location.

We stayed in an economy room for one night. Very spacious and comfortable - only downside was the trek up the stairs to our room, but this wasn't a major issue for us. Great location and would definitely recommend.

Perfect hotel, good location!

Aureus Clavis was the pefect place for even a single night in the city. Great location and good atmosphere. Like other people have said, the staff were very helpful and flexible. As I was on business, the free wifi was a bonus. Would certainly stay there again.

We stayed at the Aureus Clavis from 14-16 Feb 2008 and were very impressed with the standard of the room and the helpfulness of the staff. We had asked for a twin, which was not available, so they gave us a three-bedroom (2 room) suite at no extra cost. Check out was very flexible, we stayed until 4pm on the day of departure, again at no extra cost. Small areas to improve: breakfast was very simple, greater choice would be good; and the wooden stairs mean that you can hear guests arriving at all hours of the night - more soundproffing? But overall, well recommended

We stayed at the Aureus Clavis Hotel from 31.01.08 - 04.02.08 and we had a very enjoyable stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful and hotel rooms are very very clean, however there is no lift. It is situated very close to the centre of Prague, only 7 minutes walk from the Charles Bridge and about 2 minutes from Prague Castle.

just bck from a fab few days in prague!!! early b'day treat 4 my fiance and we loved it!!! the hotel was in a great location and the staff were so friendly helpful and chatty!!! i cant comment on the breakfasts tho as the nite life ''especially rocky o reilys'' was so good we didnt get in earlier than 6am so we were 2 tired 2 get up 4 it lol its a fab hotel in a fab area and 4 the price u cant do better thank u so much ps book ur taxi wit the hotel coz we got charged 80e from airport total robbery as we found out lol

We stayed at the Aureus Clavis from 27.12.07 to 01.01.08. I would have no hesitation in recommending it. The location is excellent -5 mins from Prague Castle. The street outside is full of really quaint shops and restaurants (and very reasonable too) The hotel is beautiful -full of character. It felt really 'old world'...Breakfast served until 11 was another good point. Staff were really nice. A real find....

We stayed at the Aureus Clavis for 3 nights from 27.12-30.12.07. We booked the economy room as the description and the pictures on the website looked inviting. After arrival we were more than disappointed. The bathroom had a large patch of mould to the shower and the ceiling had a large patch of mould over the toilet which looked like water had leaked through. That was not what we expected after seeing the lovely pictures on the website. According to the description there should have been a TV, but that was not there either. We complained to the manager and after a short discussion about the fact that we had booked an economy room (which still should be clean) we were offered a better room at no extra charge. That room was absolutely fine. Apart from that, the hotel was in a very good location, breakfast was fine and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Pizzas in the restaurant are great.

My partner and I stayed at Aureus Clavis 30/12/07 - 01/01/08 in a very spacious room the hotel is in a fantastic location, 5 mins walk to the Castle and 5mins in the other direction to Charles Bridge. The hotel is very clean, warm and staff are very friendly and helpful. would definately stay here again.

Location could not be better and simple style and quirky layout highlights the fact that you are in an historic building. A refreshing change from the usual sameness of most hotels! Breakfast was adequate and considering the proximity of so many cafes a more hearty offering would have spoiled the mid-morning snacks. With the main sight on the doorstep and 10 mins seeing you in the main square via Charles Bridge we could not have been happier with our stay at this hotel.

We stayed at the Aureus Clavis from 1st Dec 07 to 4th Dec07 and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel was very clean, romm was warm and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the location was just right. We were pleased that we had picked the Castle side of the Charles Bridge as we would probably not have found the areas around the hotel, lovely streets, bars etc.

absolutely brilliant hotel. first impressions was lovely, going through a chandalier lit corridor into a warm adn cosy reception room. staff was lovely and very helpful. very close to the prague castle and charles bridge. I would recommend everyone to stay here it was absolutely wonderful. breakfast was lovely too.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and breakfast was fine - buffet style which lasted us almost until our evening meal! Our room was up 5 flights of stairs which after a day exploring the sights and then walking back up the hill to the hotel was a bit of an effort!! However, location was fantastic, room was spacious and clean and bed was very comfy. Would recommend...(along with the tea-shop just down the hill...)
