nice hotel, not perfetc, but good enough, bit dark inside the hotel, more lights would be nice. the restaurant is not so good, not worth 4 stars, but for a simple meal it is good.

Amarilis: excellent hotel, brilliant staff

Very nice, clean and modern hotel in a good location. Hotel staff were friendly, only downside was that when checking out we were told to pay items from mini bar that we did not take but we refused to pay, of course.

Nice rooms, clean and fresh. Nice and helpful staff. Close to many nice restaurants and walking streets. Breakfast so so. e.g no fresh juice!! If you have breakfast after 9, many things were lacking.

Hotel Amarilis not quite the 4 Star level, but would be an excellent 3 Star. Bathroom was at the 4 Star level. Staff very polite and very helpful. Only downside was the Full Body Massage; although the time was as paid for, back and legs only is not in my view a Full Massage, therefore not Value for Money! Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice. Would recommend the hotel, as location is good, being just a short walk from the main areas of interest, but far enough away to make the local restaurants much more cost effective. Go visit Jama Restaurant in V Jame Street (3 mins from hotel), great atmosphere, excellent staff and a good selection of cost effective options for all tastes. MIKE; UK

Amarilis was excellent. Only 3 nights but wished it had been more. Facilities and help ? they couldn't have done more. How anyone can comment about the tub height I don't know. This is up to UK Hilton style and standard.

The Amarillis Hotel was excellent and the staff more than helpful. This was a company event for 28 people and the location was good as we did not have to use taxis for restaurants and bars etc. The only complaint I have is that the conference room was fairly reasonable but thought it unfair to be charged so much for the use of the projector and flip chart which did not have to be hired especially for our meeting. Food and service supplied during the meeting was excellent. Did not think much of the cakes for both coffee breaks - it would have been nice to have biscuts for one of the breaks. Staff on reception were excellent and the massage lady is to be highly recommended and not very expensive

Stayed in Amirilis Hotel 6 nights. Location was excellent. Staff very friendly, breakfast good, hotel very clean and bright. Would definitely go back again.

We stayed at the Amarillis for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The private leisure suite is a great idea for a nice hour or two. All the staff were very helpful, the hotel was spotlessly clean and the room was very nice. Only negative was we got a twin room when we had booked a double but were told twice that they only did twin rooms and that we just needed to push the single beds together(which was fine really). Not too sure if it was the truth though.

Stayed 4 nights at this hotel with friends. Was a bit apprehensive as we had read mixed reviews. However we had a wonderful stay in Prague. Amarilis Hotel is excellent value for money, spotlessly clean, modern, comfortable rooms with everything you need. Location is perfect. Buffet style breakfast with a very good selection and the staff were very friendly and helpful.Booked a tour at reception, we were picked up at the door and had an excellent morning with an english speaking guide. Also booked taxi through this site. Great to walk out and see ur driver waiting with your name on a card. Definitely recommend this. Yes the bath is just a little higher than usual and the shower is inside it but it wasn't a problem. Could be for people with physical difficulties though. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends.

First time in Prague, and the Hotel Amarilis was excellent. The service from the staff was good and the rooms were very clean and spacious. Location is great with everything within walking distance and yet on a quite side street. Would stay there again & recommend. John Murphy

6.01.08 We stayed at the Amarillis over Christmas and were very pleased with the hotel. The hotel is in a good location, the rooms were clean, warm and comfortable and the staff were helpful. The breakfast was superb and kept us going while we walked many miles around Prague. I would recommend this hotel as a good place to stay when in Prague.

We stayed at the Amarilis in dec for 3 nights. very clean everywhere.nice large room great bathroom. Only used the restaurant for breakfast very nice. very good value for money.

We had a three night stay. A very nice hotel and the staff were very helpfull. My only concern was the bathroom wasnt cleaned before we arrived. We had to clean it ourselves. The complimentry shampoo etc were empty and never refilled despite us asking. The restaurant was over-priced for the food and the quantity received. I also think that tea & coffee making facilitites should be in the rooms. Not great that you have to go into the main restaurant to get a coffee and you cant bring it to your room. The breakfast was very nice but my only complaint is that the scrambled eggs were a little underdone (very small complaint) The hotel is in an excellent location very close to everything. I would stay there again.

My wife and I stayed here for our Silver wedding anniversary, and there was a bottle of champagne on ice and a basket of fruit waiting in the room for us compliments of the hotel, a very nice and much appreciated touch. We had a meal in the restaurant on our first night, and although we arrived late , the staff kept the restaurant open for us. The meal was superb, as were the breakfasts. The hotel is very handy for Wenceslas Square and the usual tourist routes, with the hotel staff, who were very friendly and efficient,offering to arrange tours if needed. A most enjoyable experience which we intend to repeat in summer. Barbara and Steve from England

The hotel was lovely & clean, good breakfast & great location just off the square and close to the old town & charles bridge. The only complaint i have is that we purposefully didn't use anything from the mini bar as there was a shop opposite that sold drinks really cheap in comparison. However, on checking out the receptionist accused us of having a bottle of water we hadn't had - When i got my visa bill he had taken £2.13 out anyway, needless to say i was livid. Moral of the story.. just drink the water as you'll probably be charged regardless as soon as you're out of the country! Overall though it was a very enjoyable mini break.

I cannot say too much about this hotel as when we arrived they told us that another group of people had decided to stay another nite so we had to go to another hotel - i wasn't too impressed. We had to pay Hotel Amaralis for our accomodation even tho we werent staying there! They told us the hotel we would be staying is was the same standard but to me it wasnt. Not that it was a bad hotel, it just wasnt what we wanted. I dont think i would have mined too much if they had emailed me before i arrived to let me no the situation so i could have found alternative accomodation myself.

Excellent hotel, facilities perfect, buffet breakfast good. Staff excellent. Improvements - just hospitality trays in rooms would be great, also a lounge area to have coffee or a drink without having to sit in dining room, just needs comfortable chairs. It was just too cold to sit in reception area!

We were thoroughly satisfied with our accommodation at the Hotel Amarilis Prague. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Good choice of food for breakfast. Excellent location near Wenceslas Square.

No complaints at all about our booking for the Amarilis just wish every other similiar site was as professional in their application. Well done you took the pain out of booking. The Hotel was great , would stay at the Amarilis again only problem was that there was no coverage of the Rugby World Cup so we had to go to the Radisson to wathch it nayway its only once every four years.Staff very helpful.The Hotel was really clean.........

Well located close to the main tourist attractions! Buffet breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff was really pleasant and accomodating, clean rooms in general, we very much enjoyed our stay! I would not hesitate to book again with Hotel Amarilis

11.11.2007 We stayed 2 nights in the Amarilis and were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water, the bath was a little higher than we are used to over here, but not really cause for complaint. The hotel was ideally situated to the main thoroughfare, though far enough away to be quiet at night. Our room was at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet though our friend's room was at the front and they said that when they opened the windows they could hear the traffic, but they are used to living in the country. Breakfast was better than what I had anticipated and we were adequately fed. What you see in the pictures is a very good overall veiw of this modern, clean hotel with very pleasant staff. We did not eat in the hotel as we wanted to sample the tastes of Prague. There is a lovely little 'Ristorante' about 150m up the street which is very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to friends. It is a very good idea to book your taxi through this site when booking your hotel. Our taxi driver was waiting for us with my name on a card as we came out of arrivals, it was brilliant as we landed at 10.00pm.

Hotel Amarilis lived up to and surpassed our expections. It was bright,and immaculately clean and the room we got was exactly as seen on the the website, it was gorgeous. breakfast was superb,everything you would expect for a continental breakfast and hot dishes as well. Their in house greek restaurant was not to our taste however there were plenty of very resonably priced restaurants nearby. The situation of the hotel on a quiet street just a few minutes walk from Wenceslas Square was perfect for visiting this superb city. The street music and the daily concerts were the highlight for us during our 5 day visit.

A wonderful hotel!! It is so new and clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful and they even managed to get breakfast for us when we were late. It is a very quiet place to stay on a side street off of the square. We would definitely stay here again. Apart from all the wonderful stuff we have a couple of complaints - the rooms were very warm and we could not change the temperature in the room which made it a little bit frustating, additionally we we were surprised when we saw the laundry being done on the floor right next to the elevator. 27.10.07 My husband and I spent 3 nights in this hotel and were very satified with both the staff and the accomodation. The rooms were very modern and clean, the beds very comfortable and the proximity to the heart of Prague was an added bonus. The breakfast food was equal to any I have had in other similarly priced accommodation.I would definately stay there again and recommend it to anyone who wants a city centre hotel of a very good standard at a reasonable price.I had no difficulty managing to get in and out of the bath/shower.(I am 54 and my husband 59!)

We agree with the above comments with the additional complaint of the shower arangements. The high tub with only the shower shaft to hold on to , the tub is shaped so that standing is difficult due to the very curved bottom, the shower is centered at almost the limit of the glass 'curtain'. On arrival receptionist sitting in reception lounge area with feet up on sofa. Very little english and was not sure whether or not I had reservation! when found I had, did not know for how long. Room excellent, modern, clean and very comfortable. Hotel too warm. Buffet breakfast fine, friendly staff. Beware mini bar charges (which I did not use). On checking out I was told I had charges for mini bar and telephone calls. Though in fairness to the reception on my insistance that I had used neither they only charged for accommodation. Location is excellent for touring the city with Metro close by. Taxi's from airport are not familiar with this hotel as it is so new. Recommend you have the address to hand.

I recommend the Amarilis hotel.We had originally booked for 9 nights and decided to add 3 more nights.This is a new hotel so everything is so clean. The location is good since it is on a side street from Venceslas square on the same sreet as the Radisson and Magestic a Best Western Hotel. The breakfast was a comnbination of hot and cold whith a good choice.The beds and pillows very comfy. I had requested a quiet room and I got what I asked for since my room was facing the court yard on the back side, however this is not a noisy hotel anyway. The personnel was very helful. We used the train and bus to visit outside the city and the ladies at the front desk would check the time schedules and print them out for us. That was very much appreciated. We liked the modern look of this hotel. The room was small but not a problem. The bath was high and could be a challenge for an older person since to take a shower you must enter the bath. All in all it was a pleasant experience. Monique & Michel from Canada

The Amarilis Hotel was excellent,conviniently located good room service very helpfull Staff,everything was new breakfast was good during our 7 day stay had no complaints. The only thing is that the tub is higher than the level of the bathroom floor a little difficult for older persons. We will stay there again.
