Dont expect luxurios rooms. But here you will find perfect down town location, and extremely many square meters for the price. In this room (Gothic suite) there were a nice little terrace, with a pefect wiew of old town buildings and the Tyn church. |

N/AThis is not at all as it seems in the pics. First of all the reception was very rude and ugly. I could not believe the way they talk to their customers. Their English is broken but that was to be expected. The elevator is like a tiny hole in the wall and only three people can fit comfortably. It requires tons of trips from the car to the elevator up and down. The rooms were very old like the city except the walls had dirt on them, paint is old and not updated. The rooms smell musty, esp the bedrooms. The set up is not accurate and their is no dvd player in the rooms as described. The beds were very uncomfortable. Yes the hotel is in the heart of Prague, but there are loud bars all around it and we even smelled an odor of Marijuana coming from the street when we opened the windows for air because their is not air conditioning. Overall I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially Americans or American military. Also not good for kids either. |

N/AWe had a lovely stay at Unglet and it sounds like some of the issues raised above have been addressed. There was 24 hour reception and they could not have been more friendly and accomodating. The location is fantastic, really close to the old town square, but on a quiet street. The standard of accomodation was great and we had a wonderful stay. We did have one serious concern though and I hope the owners take action. The fire escape door was locked - we asked how we would escape in a fire and the receptionist said she would have to unlock the door - not what we wanted to hear!! |

N/AWe did not have a good experience at the Hotel Ungelt. It is true that the hotel is well located and has unusually spacious rooms. However, we were forced to vacate our first suite when it flooded ( a frequent occurrence, judging by the other comments ). Two nights later, an electrical storm knocked out the power to our rooms in the evening. No one staffs the hotel after 8 pm. Although there are two numbers posted in the lobby for emergencies, no one answered either number. My family spent the night in utter darkness. The suites overlook a street with a nightclub, with people drinking and talking loudly on the sidewalks outside. This forces one to close the windows in order to sleep. With no air conditioning, no working fans, and no electricity, it was an uncomfortable night. I would not recommend this hotel. Very poorly managed. |

N/AThe only issue was with the name. There isn't any hotel under the name Royal Residence in the area of Mala Stupenski. The address was identified on the building as a theater. I was in a panic. Finally a dress shop suggested we check with the Hotel Ungelt. Turns out that was it. Please advise people of the current name! That would have saved me a lot of stress. Other than that, we loved the place. The location could not have been better! We'd stay there again. The small elevator gave us the giggles everytime we used it! It's all part of the experience. Enjoy! |

N/AOn arrival at the hotel ( 30.04.2008) we were told that our suite was in the progress of being cleaned and could we wait for awhile, so being close to the old town square we duly went off to sample some Prague hospitality. On returning to the hotel we were informed that our suite was flooded ( what a coincidence with the above clients comments -01/05/2008 ).After a lot of discussion as to whether the room had been double booked !!! and frantic telephone calls by the harassed receptionist and approx 5hours later we were offered accommodation at Down Town suites 4.5 km from where we wanted to be. We specifically wanted to be in the heart of Prague so as not have to use transport to get about. So now we are stuck out of town in a quiet area, nothing to do in the evenings and having to pay and rely on public transport. At the Down Town Suites we had difficulty in conversing with the young receptionists, although the accommodation was satisfactory we were surprised , no insulted when asked to pay the Ungelt prices, having lost nearly a whole day from our short break through no fault of our own we were not impressed. After much discussion with the management of the DownTown Suites we were offered a discount which we begrudging accepted so as not to completely spoil our holiday.Prague is a beautiful city, hotels need to get there act together and not treat tourists so shabbily |

N/AThe room me and my girlfriend booked had a burst pipe so was not available. We only discovered this after we arrived and were left waiting outside the hotel at 9.30pm at night with nobody in the reception. I found this out after ringing to see why nobody was there to check us in.We had to ring the number to get another 'sister' hotel to take us in at the same price! The replacement room was supposed to be Deluxe Double but had 3 single beds in it 2 of which were pushed together - very romantic! No bath either as described. It was not a Suite as described. Overall very disappointing and nearly ruined our experience of this beautiful city. To be in any way reputable Hotel Management have to contact customers when an issue like this occurs and organise alternative equal / superior accomodation at the same price and not let people walking around the streets of prague wondering what to do next. Would never book anything at this hotel again nor recommend it. |

N/AThe hotel was perfect, it is directly behind the Tyn Church, which is right next to the Clock Tower -just a perfect central location! The room size was much more than expected, we were just two persons and had a full apartment! And this was their smallest accomodation. This apartment included two huge bedrooms, with 12 foot ceilings, and i would guess the dimensions to be at least 16 feet by 18 feet, there was even a couch that would convert to a bed, so this would work for a family very well. The bathrom had a huge tub, and shower was adequate, the water closet is separate from the bath, which is nice. The breakfast is charged separately, and it is served to you in your room, it included hot eggs and ham, and baskets of rolls, pastries, fresh fruits, meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal, juice - way more than two people could eat, it would have fed six persons. The only negatives were the elevator is small and the front desk is staffed from 8am to 8pm only and after that you let yourself in the front door with a separate key and lock the door behind you. |
